HADA’s Repro Just Bootcamp for Adolescents, supported by the Global Fund for Women, focuses on empowering young people in the conflict-affected Northwest and Southwest regions of Cameroon. In these areas, where access to reproductive health services is often limited and gender inequality is prevalent, the bootcamp provides an essential platform for youth to engage in discussions on sexual and reproductive health, gender equality, and social justice. The program prioritizes these regions due to the ongoing socio-political challenges and the heightened vulnerabilities faced by adolescents, particularly young women.
Through the bootcamp, youth are educated on their reproductive rights, and are equipped with the tools to challenge stigma and misinformation surrounding reproductive health. The program also emphasizes economic empowerment by teaching practical skills, such as entrepreneurship and vocational training, to ensure participants can achieve financial independence and access necessary health services.
By targeting the Northwest and Southwest regions, the Repro Just Bootcamp directly addresses the unique challenges of these communities, aiming to foster a generation of young leaders who will drive positive change and advocate for reproductive justice in their areas.
