The HADA team is committed to serving communities by distributing COVID-19 prevention materials donated by UNHCR through Plan International. Recently, Juliette, a founding member of HADA, reached out to the Soppo community to distribute cartons of Unilever soaps. This initiative aligns with our goal of ensuring access to health and sanitation services for women and girls in vulnerable communities across the North West and South West regions of Cameroon. These soap donations were made possible by UNHCR through Plan Cameroon, addressing the needs of community members affected by armed conflict and the ongoing pandemic. Our team remains dedicated to ensuring that every woman can live a dignified life free from violence and health threats.
Supporting Vulnerable Communities
The COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately impacted vulnerable populations, particularly women and girls. By providing essential hygiene products, we aim to enhance health and sanitation in these communities. Our partnership with organizations like UNHCR and Plan International allows us to reach those most in need. Moreover, we believe that access to basic hygiene products is a fundamental right. This initiative not only promotes better health but also empowers women by improving their living conditions. We strive for a future where every woman can thrive without fear or limitation.
Collaboration for Change
Our efforts are supported by various organizations, including the Women’s Alliance for Security Leadership (WASL), the International Civil Society Action Network, and the Global Fund for Women. Together, we are building peace piece by piece. As we move forward, we call on everyone to support our mission. Join us in standing with women peace builders and advocating for their rights. Together, we can create a safer and healthier environment for all.
Conclusion
In conclusion, HADA’s distribution of COVID-19 prevention materials is a crucial step toward improving health and sanitation in vulnerable communities. With the support of UNHCR and Plan International, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of women and girls in Cameroon. Let us continue to work together to ensure that every woman has access to the resources she needs to live a dignified life.
